Trinidadian songbird Nailah Blackman has released her much anticipated SOKAH track which pays homage to the origins of Soca music while blending it with the new sound that have been filtering through the music in most recent times. Nailah is the grand-daughter of the late Ras Shorty I, the noted creator of soca music in the region. “Sokah” is spelled the same way as it’s founder intended and is Nailah’s nod to her roots and her grand-father’s legacy.
